See Budapest from the air for a new perspective on the Parliament House.

You’ve seen the Danube flowing under the Chain Bridge, glimpsed the Parliament House from Buda Castle and stood atop Gellért Hill for the best views of the city, so where else can you go to discover new views of joyfully Baroque Buda and the wide boulevards of Pest? Viewing Budapest by air presents an exciting – and exclusive – new perspective on Hungary’s capital city .

It’s all aboard your private plane at Budaörs airport for an enthralling 30-minute circular Budapest flight over the city center, revealing a bird’s-eye view of all its Baroque attractions. Orient yourself by the route of the River Danube as it meanders along its course, separating hilly Buda from its flat and more modern counterpart of Pest. Spot Margaret Island in the middle of the river and see the magnificent links of the iconic Chain Bridge from above as you pass low over the sprawling neo-Gothic Parliament House. Enjoy the pilot’s expert commentary as each sight hoves into view, and catch the spectacle of seeing the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Castle District from above, with the courtyards, Hungarian National Gallery, palaces, Matthias Church and the monuments of Fisherman’s Bastion all unfolding beneath you.

Once over the eastern side of the Danube, it’s easy to make out the domes and spires of Baroque St Stephen’s Basilica. Budapest’s biggest church contains the relics of the city’s patron saint, whose feast day is celebrated with great gusto on August 20. From here it’s a hop over the sweeping avenue of Váci and Andrássy and the monuments of Heroes’ Square to the gardens of Városliget City Park, the largest green space in the city, and on to Memento Park, the extraordinary open-air museum of Communist propaganda statuary, where images of Lenin and Marx have been retired.

Once back at Budaörs airport, get the free link to the live flight video and head back into the city to your hotel in a chauffeur-driven car.
